Meet The Team

I'm Miss Ashli, I am born and raised in Cheyenne, WY and I have a son named Beckett, who is my world. I have over 16 years of experience in early education. I've owned and operated a preschool endorsed facility, program and site director and coordinated multiple school facilities in Wyoming and Colorado. I received my certification and earned credits through Grand Canyon University.

I’m Mrs. Katie; I am originally from Colorado where I grew up on a ranch in the mountains. Some of my hobbies include: camping, fishing, hunting, and reading. I have been in childcare for many years. I knew shortly after starting that working with children, it was my calling and so I completed my bachelor’s in childhood education administration. I love seeing each child learn and grow and explore the world. As an administrator I want to advocate for the children and help them have the best foundation in learning before moving on to their next journey.

My name is Marti Young; I am originally from central Nebraska, where we visit family often. I have lived and just recently moved from Colorado, where I went to school, worked, and started our family.

I am married to my high school sweetheart. We have two wonderful girls and a loving Lab named Tripp. As a family, we love to camp, play outside, and spend time with friends and family. I have 15-plus years of experience in a childcare setting. I was a Program Director and also taught Kindergarten Enrichment for many years for Douglas County School district’s Before and After Care in Colorado.

Hi! My name is Abby Richards, and I am the new preschool A teacher! I recently graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming and am so excited to begin my teaching career working with young learners at The Schoolhouse! I have always enjoyed working in early education and love watching children grow in confidence, independence, and curiosity. Preschool is such an important time for learning social skills, building routines, and discovering a love for school, and I feel very lucky to be part of that experience! Before becoming a lead teacher, I gained experience working with children in a variety of settings, including four years as an assistant toddler teacher, which really helped grow my passion for early childhood education. I enjoy creating a classroom environment that is welcoming, engaging, and full of opportunities for hands-on learning and creativity. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, hiking, and finding new creative ideas to bring into the classroom. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the students and families and having a wonderful year together!

Hi there! My name is Emma Kellar, and I will be the JR Pre-K B teacher here at the Schoolhouse! I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Elementary Education in 2022, and I have worked with 3-6 year olds for the past 8 years. If I am not teaching, I enjoy camping, sudoku, painting, or spending time with my cat, Todd! I can’t wait to see what this year holds, and I’m excited to explore this adventure with you all!

Hi I’m Mykennah Malin, I go by Kennah as it’s easier for kids to say and what I’ve been called most of my life. I am 18 years old and going to college to be a preschool teacher. I also love animals and have a cat of my own who is my world. One day I hope to have an animal in my classroom when I am a teacher in the district. I also love kids and that’s why I want to become a teacher. Kids are fun to work with and bring light to my day. I hope to help them grow, learn more, and have fun. I am a country girl and I can be quite shy and quiet but I love working with kids because they make it so I’m not as quite as I normally would be and also making it so I learn new things and get to do new crafts and projects with them and helping them learn new things.

Hi, my name is Ms. Christina Yeley-Ritter.

I am the new Jr Preschool Teacher, here at The Schoolhouse! I am very excited to be here and to learn with and teach your little ones! I've been in childcare/child education for a little over 7 years now, which has given me the pleasure of working with all age groups. I find it is my passion to work with kids and help them grow and learn new things everyday! I love all subjects of learning, even though I tend to venture more towards arts and STEM the most. Even though I am originally from Oklahoma, I have resided in Wyoming for about 10 years now. I have a son of my own and love watching him, as well as others grow into their own little personalities and can't wait to see how they all advance! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, and cooking. I also enjoy camping and hiking with my little family! Thank you for welcoming me on board! 

My name is Wendi Power, and I am the Kindermusik Teacher! I have my bachelor’s in music education from the University of Wyoming and I’ve been teaching for 10 years. It’s a pure enjoyment to sing, play and dance with your littles in Kindermusik class!
